Capitalism X

So to be honest, I didn't really know much about capitalism but after watching this video, I am quite shocked. I am shocked at the fact that people actually take peoples home away and not care to leave them homeless just so that the rich can get richer. “This is capitalism—a system of giving and taking—mostly taking,” says Moore. But see, that's the one thing that I didn't understand is why? Why do they just want to take everything away from them? I think the clip that got me the most sad is when Wal-Mart took advantage of the "dead peasants" and the poor lady who became a widow and didn't get her husbands life insurance but left with her son. I think every normal human being would know that that is not okay! It makes me pretty upset. It kind of makes me wonder what other company is doing this.
I understand that teenagers who have disrespected their elders should have discipline but not to the extent where they go to juvenile detention for a year or two. In the video, they had shown a guy who had thrown something at his moms boyfriend and went to juvenile detention. Two judges were hired to send these poor kids there so that the facilities would make money and pay the judges millions. Can you believe that is where our money is going to!? Our hard working money!
"A disabled railway worker’s family in Peoria, Illinois, lose their home of 20 years. In a further humiliation, the bank hires the family to empty and clean the foreclosed property for $1,000," according to an article by Joanne Laurier and David Walsh. This makes me so sick.
https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2009/10/capi-o06.html this article is a really good read to better understand Moore's capitalism video.
I don't know how but this has to stop. I feel as if many Americans aren't aware of this.. Maybe the middle class do because they are going through this but either way, we need to make everyone aware!

Entry #6 Pinterest!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day! Today I want to talk about something super simple! PINTEREST. If you don't have the app, you need to get one like yesterday! It is honestly the best app that anyone could have ever invented.
Pinterest is pretty much your life saver. Let me simplify. If you need any make up tips or you need some ideas for a quick dinner or a trick on how to get detergent stains off of your fiancés New York Yankees jersey, you look it up on Pinterest. You can find what you are looking for and make new discoveries along the way! If you find something interesting that you want to go back to, you can post (meaning pin) to your board.
I personally am on there like every day searching for ideas for my wedding, new hairstyles and fall fashion. The best thing is that it is not only for women but for men too. It has any category such as men's style, cars or photography to name a few. The app it totally free. You just sign up and pin away! You all can thank me later! :) Happy pinnings!

Entry #5 Tick Tock!

Hi everyoooone!! So after reading this article about ASU offering more shorter classes, I can see all the pros and cons to it.
For the positives, it offers a whole lot more flexibility to working students or older adults. The students will be financially better off by taking these short classes because tuition will be lower which means that the university will be bringing in more students.
As for the negatives, some students believe that the accelerated classes won't be a fit to everyone.
I do believe that students who are young and still live at home would definitely benefit from taking these shorter classes to graduate faster. For the full time working adults, it might be a little tough because just like Sheffield Ashton said, "Condensing everything into half of that time would feel to crammed."

Although these class won't benefit everyone, it's a great option to have! It will help students in various ways but to each its own!
Thanks for reading! Until next time.. Fear the fork!

Entry #4 #ItsJustaCup

Hello there my Starbucks lovers! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! I see through out the internet this whole controversy that "Christians" are having with this...

A red cup. I personally don't believe that a red cup is the most important thing in the world. The most important thing is to keep yourself warm this winter with a nice hot drink and not worry about a red cup. Apparently Christians are saying that Starbucks is going anti-Christmas but what they are really trying to do is welcome diversity of people and religions into their stores. Which I don't see a problem with since it is America. I don't understand why they are getting so upset when they are still decorating with a Christmas tree and a bunch of joy inside the sores. I mean, there are more important things that are going on in this crazy world like world  hunger, cancer, and racism.

Christmas is my most favorite holiday! To me, Christmas means to celebrate the life of Jesus with all my family and friends; I don't need any cup with snowflakes to make my Christmas better! I am not boycotting Starbucks but for all those that are, thank you! This just means that the lines in the mornings will be shorter which mean I can enjoy my hot chai tea latte a lot faster! :)

I hope your holidays are wonderful! Until next time!

Entry #3 Ann the Slanter

Ann Coulter. BOOM! I hope that when you hear her name, you cringe just as much as I do! Why might you ask? Well, for starters, she is a speaker at public and private events. She likes to think that she knows everything about politics... Thinks.

She is the first person that comes to mind when the words "slanted reporting" is being said. Slanting reporting is when there is a report on something and the writer is basically being biased on a particular idea. Coulter is the perfect example!! Everything that comes out of her mouth are totally bias opinions which means she is not a credible writer. Although she does have some credible resources in her books, for the most part she likes to use her bias opinions to support her claims. One can simply not trust her. I know I don't.

Now, when I research anything that interests me, I would like to be able to trust the report. If it has statistics and reliable resources then bring on all the information because I am all for it! If someone wanted to research a paper on Jew religion, Ann Coulter probably wouldn't be the best bet.. For any research, make sure you check all the citations so you  can get some reliable information.

Entery #2: Einstein Was Right

If there is one thing that I really enjoy in my life, it would have to be spending time with my family. I grew up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters and lived in a house with only 4 bedrooms. It was a crazy household but I loved living together and being able to have so many options in who I wanted to talk to. I believe that life is too short and that we should enjoy every single second of it with our loved ones. Which is why I have this huge cringe when I see people hanging out or a family being all together and yet every single one of them is on their phone.

Technology is taking over the world! When I was a kid, my siblings and I would be outside every day riding our bikes, playing soccer, street football, and playing with marbles, just to name a few things; that was the best childhood ever!! Now a days, I hardly ever see that in the streets anymore but what I have been noticing for a while now are a group of friends on their phone. One will be snap chatting, ones on Facebook, the other on Instagram and of course, one will be texting instead of having a conversation with one another.Don’t get me wrong, I have all of those apps on my phone but I believe that there is a time when we could all be on there. I know for me, when I am out and about with my friends or family, I leave my phone in my purse or in the car and when I have some down time and I am at home, I will get my phone out or if I am by myself.

All I am saying is that one should really think about this next time you go out. If you are waiting in a doctor’s office, don’t be afraid to start a conversation with the old man next to you, they have some awesome stories!!!

Entry #1

Hi everyone!!

So this is my first semester ever having a blog! I never really knew exactly what a blog was until now. Hence the fact that my blog is nothing interest at all. lol I feel like I wouldn't have anything interesting to say or catch the readers attention but who knows, maybe blogging will be my new thing after this semester. :)

As for other blogs, I went on to google to check some out ad actually found this website called All Women Stalk. It features about 26 other bloggers and one that I particularly enjoyed very much was by some  woman names Cat Bishop. She has many different things that she talks about! Whether you want some advice on men to how to keep your skin clean to make up tips, she is your girl!! I will definitely be coming back to this website. (I'm starting to like blogs now ;))

Another blog that I really liked as well was from a lady named Carla. She is a much older lady that basically talks about anything! She can talk about life, living in our own terms and of course fitness! I feel like she can be very inspiring. I'm not a big fitness person but after reading some her posts, who knows maybe I will start working out more often!

The blogs that I didn't really enjoy what so ever was  the "brain picking" that we had to read for class. It was not interesting to me because I barely understood it.

Well, I shall see you guys again for the next blog!! Thanks for reading!
