Hello future students!!
I am so excited to tell you about my blogging experience for
English 102! To start off, let me tell you that English is and probably will
forever not be my forte. I am not great at it for some reason. I am not a big
fan on writing essays. This class was great though! My favorite part would
definitely be all the BLOGGING!
Blogging was one of the best ways to let your voice be
heard! When you start your blog, give it a title that represents you! At first,
I thought the title for my blog had to be “English 102” but it doesn’t have to
be! Make it your own and don’t be shy. I like to talk (maybe that’s why I
enjoyed it too much lol) and I never really knew much about blogging especially
blogging to my classmates who I barely know but see, that’s the best part. They
can get to know you and vice versa. I thought blogging had to deal with people
keeping in touch with their families like a diary but it is way more than that.
From my research, people blog about make up advice to fashion to funny things
or recipes even. I have learned so many new things by reading other people’s
blogs. Blogging as homework was super easy because it is fun and you can choose
most of your topics you just have to make sure that you stay on top it and make
sure to add pictures because it makes it look so much better and more
interesting.
Don’t worry, there aren’t many challenges to writing a blog…
The only challenge that I can think of, is not having a good topic to talk
about that would interest your readers. I believe that you can make anything interesting!
Take it seriously. I know I did. I would read other pro blogs to get an idea of
what I wanted to sound like. So when I would blog, I try to make it pro casual
with a hint of humor. Seriously, have fun with it!!!
As for the assignment for the class, I think this was very
valuable. You get to challenge yourself to let your voice be heard. Like I said
before, there are times when you get to choose a topic to talk about so pick
anything that you can easily write about. Don’t be intimidated! The balls in
your court! I hope you all have a great semester! Good luck!
